Juli Burney

An award winning teacher, entertainer and author, Juli makes an amazing connection with her audiences. She is able to entertain with the ability of a headlining comedian while either motivating or instructing with the ease of a topnotch motivational speaker. Juli has been recognized by her state as Artist of the Year, because of her ability to help improve people’s lives through humor and effective use of communication tools. She has worked in all 48 continental United States and Canada, and has been commissioned by a variety of associations from the National Endowment of the Arts to Fortune 500 companies to develop training programs that stick. She has filmed for Showtime and HBO, along with making several guest appearances on radio and television programs. Her humor is delightful, universal, and enlightening with whatever topic she presents.

Cerone F. “Cy” Sturdivant, CISA

Cy is a member of BKDCyber and has more than 16 years of experience working with and serving clients across various industries.  He primarily focuses on performing IT general control engagements, Cybersecurity assessments, Internal Audit SOX engagements and manages various other cybersecurity-related services for clients across the Firm.

Before joining BKD, he worked for a community bank in their risk management division and other accounting firms specializing in Information Security related internal audits and IT Control Assessments.

Cy has been a practicing Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) since 2009.  His professional memberships include ISACA®, Tennessee Bankers Association Strategic Technology Steering Committee and InfraGard Middle Tennessee Members Alliance.

He is a graduate of The University of Tennessee, Martin, with a B.S. degree in business administration with accounting and finance emphases, and a graduate of University of Memphis, Tennessee, with an M.B.A. degree.

 

Scott Meyer

Scott has been involved in radio, television, sales and marketing for over 40 years.  Scott’s most interesting position was that of Executive Director of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally from 1998 to 2000. Prior to joining Innovative, Scott was involved in sales with a start-up fiber build for 4 years. For the last 15 years Scott has served as the Marketing Director for Innovative Systems responsible for advising service providers on how to better promote and sell their voice and video services to their end users.

 

Ely Compean

Ely Compean, the Managing Director at Smart Business Communications a

nd Services, SBC-Services, is a rural ILEC-focused Telecom Networking and Management Provider. Born in deep south Texas, Rio Grande Valley, he grew up in a rural community with a tiny population where everyone knows each other.

With his wife of thirty years and two daughters, Ely focuses on helping ILECs with the design and deployments of carrier-grade IP networks using wireless and wired networks. Enjoys exploring all eighty nines Texas State Parks and relaxing on the Texas gulf coast, Rockport anyone? Let’s go…

 

Jeremiah Raya

Jeremiah Raya serves as a Director in JSI’s Austin, TX office and has been with JSI since 2000.  Jeremiah leads a team responsible for the telecommunications management and federal/state regulatory compliance of JSI’s Southwest region clients.  This includes development and filing of jurisdictional cost separations studies, USF studies, cost allocation manuals, ETC Annual Reports, and FCC 499 filings, as well as other FCC filings.  In addition, Jeremiah advises clients with a variety of management issues related to forecasting and budgeting, cost recovery analysis, strategic planning and process improvement, affiliate transactions, federal and state reforms and monitoring of overall financial performance.  Jeremiah also assists clients in navigating USAC BCAP and PQA compliance audits as well as NECA focus reviews.

Jeremiah received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Marketing with a minor in Economics from Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas, in 2000.
